| NOTES, QUOTES | Tue, Mar 9 11:10 PM |
--C Marcus Camby didn't play in Portland's 118-106 loss at Denver Sunday night due to a sprained left ankle. It was still sore Tuesday night, but he was still able to come through in the clutch. Over the final seven minutes, the 6-11 center was 2-for-2 from the field, grabbed three rebounds, had a steal and blocked three shots.
"Marcus was huge," Portland coach Nate McMillan said. "We don't win the game (Tuesday night) if he doesn't make some of the plays he made."
--The Blazers won on a night when they were "up and down," G Brandon Roy said.
"We didn't dominate this game, but we'll take the win," said Roy, who scored a game-high 19 points to go with eight rebounds in 39 minutes. "We have to continue to improve. Our defense got better as the game went on, but offensively, we weren't very good (Tuesday)."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Even though his stat line wouldn't knock your eyes out, Marcus Camby really dominated the game for them on the defensive end and was very much the difference. He was a big impediment to our offense." -- Sacramento coach Paul Westphal, on Camby's contributions to Portland's win Tuesday night over the Kings.

| GETTING INSIDE | Tue, Mar 9 11:10 PM |
The Trail Blazers have had a devil of a time beating Golden State at Oakland, the city they'll visit Thursday to face the Warriors.
Portland has lost nine straight times at ORACLE Arena dating back to 2004.
"Can't let it get to 10," Portland point guard Andre Miller said. "We have to figure out how we can get a win down there."
The Warriors "have been able to get the tempo at their (fast) pace down there," said Nate McMillan, who has never beaten Golden State on the road since becoming the Blazers' head coach in 2005. "We've always gotten caught up in that tempo."
Golden State ranks second in the NBA in scoring at 107.2 points per game, but yields a league-high 111.2 points per contest.
With Monta Ellis out with a back injury, Portland's defensive focus falls on veteran forward Corey Maggette and rookie guard Stephen Curry, who has played 48 minutes in each of his last two games, scoring 31 points at Atlanta and 25 at Charlotte.
"He's a solid point guard who can make things happen," Miller said. "He can shoot the ball, so you have to respect his whole game."
TRAIL BLAZERS 88, KINGS 81: Marcus Camby scored six points, grabbed eight rebounds, blocked five shots and even took a charge as Portland (38-28) won with an otherwise lackluster performance against Sacramento (21-43) Tuesday night at the Rose Garden. It was the Blazers' fifth straight win over the Kings, moving them within a half-game of San Antonio (36-25), which sits in seventh place in the tight race for the playoffs in the Western Conference. The game seemed there for the taking for Sacramento, with the score tied 74-74 and seven minutes left. Camby then knocked down an 18-foot jump shot to put Portland ahead for good, but it was lack of offense by the Kings -- who closed the game with 2-for-12 shooting -- that did them in.
